Welcome to Our New Site
Old Faithful Tours has a new website! Check back for updates on snowmobiling in Yellowstone and around Wyoming.
“Everything about this trip was exciting and fun, with a great tour guide, sights, and company. The tour guide, Jon, was very [knowledgeable], professional, and personal. He made everyone feel comfortable on the snowmobile and had an answer for all our questions. The company provided plenty of gear to keep us warm, and the pace of the tour was not difficult but kept us all moving. It was the most fun I have had on a winter vacation.”

“My husband, two teenage daughters, and I decided to travel to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to take a 3 day snowmobile trip through Yellowstone National Park. We chose Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours. It was the most awesome experience!! We are from the South and aren’t used to such cold temperatures. Old Faithful staff prepared us so well for the trip…Our guide was Tony Mayer and he was awesome. He definitely loves what he does and it shows. He gave us so much information about the park, the wildlife, and the state. We will be talking about this trip for many years to come.”

“An outstanding experience thanks to the team at Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours for their expert handling of our tour of Yellowstone. Experience makes the difference and this team has it. The beauty of Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and the Tetons is just [majestic], the wildlife… amazing. Most recent trip was for my Mom’s 70th birthday. She’s been six times. It’s her favorite thing, especially because of our guide, owner Jon Toolson. Experience it for yourself. It’s remarkable. Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours handles everything and makes it so great.”

From Sue Anne Stuntz:
I never imagined a birthday trip in Yellowstone in 2003 would be the first of so many adventures – eight tours in all! Each trip – two in Yellowstone, six in the Continental Divide – has been memorable: bison and crow encounters, paint pots, frosted trees in Yellowstone; moose and elk, ice crystals, exploring new territory, reaching the top of Lava Mtn. and Austin Peak on Continental Divide trips. From our arrival in Jackson for outfitting through happy hour and the end of our trip, the crew handles every detail and/or request with humor and ease. Thanks, Jon, for sharing with us an adventure in a part of the country we could never be able to experience on our own. See you in 2011!

Dear Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours,
For the second time … WOW … what an absolutely wonderful, beautiful, and fun-filled vacation. We didn’t believe that this last 4 day trip, beginning January 2nd 2007, could ever be as exciting as the first year, but it was all that and more. Once again Jon was awesome. His knowledge, respect (thanks to his mom), and love for the park, made both our trips an experience we will cherish forever. Yellowstone and all of its creatures, wrapped in a blanket of snow, is a sight everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. All of you are great and what an unbelievable adventure you have created. See you for New Years 2008.
From Terry Schade:
I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thanks for a wonderful experience. I was part of a group that headed out on 2/15 and am still talking about our tour. Prior to coming, I was told that the quality of my experience would be largely dependent on my guide. Let me tell you that it was excellent, as was Tom Toolson. He not only made the trip a whole lot of fun, but educational as well. Tom was genuinely concerned for each of us and his knowledge and insights made the trip an experience I’ll never forget. My family wants to come out and do this in the future. We will need a few years, so the kids are old enough to drive their own sleds, but that will be here soon enough…. and I can hardly wait for that day to arrive.
From Dave and Kathy Dodwell:
We can’t begin to thank you enough for the wonderful 4 day trip to Yellowstone! We had so much fun, were treated to sights we’d only dreamed of before and memories that will last forever! Jon was the best and we enjoyed all the fun, stories and information that he so willingly shared with us. We can truly tell that he loves what he does! We’re hoping for a return trip next year!
From Linda Rawson:
I wanted to let you know how much Joe, Kim and I enjoyed our 4 day trip with Tom. It was one of our very best trips ever. In fact, Kim said it was her best ever. We really enjoyed the people from Ohio too, and we agreed that we couldn’t have had a better match. Thanks for a memorable trip, and we will be back. We’re thinking maybe a 3 day next year with the rest of our family. There are 7 adults and 4 children.
From Kim Duncan:
Robert,
Thank you for an incredible trip to Yellowstone. You were a great guide, who made the tour informative AND a blast. I have a question for you. Do you know how far we actually rode the snowmobiles? I’m guessing it was somewhere around 100 miles or so. When I read the trip info, I was worried about having to be on the snowmobile for so long. However, as you know, I loved it so much, I didn’t want to stop!!!!
I can’t wait until I can come back and do it again!!!!
From Linda Hudson:
Dear Jon,
We just wanted to drop you a short note to thank you again. The snowmobiling trip across the Continental Divide was wonderful and was much more than we ever expected! We really appreciated the caring that you showed us during our travels and especially for our father.
Thanks again.
From Cal, Carol, and Zach Vanderplate:
Dear Tom,
We wanted to tell you how much we appreciated having you as our guide. Your knowledge of the park, your understanding of nature and the habits of the wildlife, as well as the antidotes you shared with us made this a trip we will always remember because we learned so much. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
From Doug and Tammy Crotty:
Just wanted to let you and the gang know that we had a marvelous time in Yellowstone. It was truly four days of non stop pleasure. If all goes well, we will do it again next year, taking the Continental Divide trip. Jon made sure we lacked nothing during the trip, from food to info to many laughs, and all the info about all of the sights. My thanks to him and all of y’all.
From Julie Hayward:
Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours,
The Grey’s River Trip was the perfect mix of trail and off-trail riding. The scenery was beautiful and it felt like we had the entire wilderness to ourselves! The secluded Box Y Ranch was a perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. Our guide Zane was knowledgeable and fun! He took great care of us and made sure we had an enjoyable day!
Thanks again.
From Rebecca Sova and Dave Grimm, March 2011:
Thank you for the incredible trip! Accommodations, gear, equipment, the sights, all top drawer!
Our guide Tom, that blue-eyed charmer, his knowledge of the park, its creatures and its history enriched the experience immeasurably. Nothing better than having a genuine cowboy to guide us through Yellowstone! It was the best trip of our lives, thank you!
From J.P. and Betsy Hester, March 2011:
We recruited a group of friends to tour with you in Yellowstone Park and what a wonderful experience it was… Old Faithful, Fountain Paint Pots, Minerva Terrace, bison, elk, eagles, bighorn sheep, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Top this off with the thrill of traveling by snowmobile and you have the unbeatable winter vacation experience. Snowmobiling is THE
best way to see Yellowstone and we are looking forward to our next trip with you.
From Clint Green, February 2011:
Just wanted to write you a note to say what a great time my Dad and I had on our Continental Divide trip last week. Tony for the 2nd straight year was a great guide and we had a blast. The Trail was challenging and my Dad was stuck much of the time on the 2nd day. Tony patiently helped us out of several jams and for that I would really like to thank him. The payoff was the spectacular trails and views from Lava Peak. Hope to visit you all again in the future and bring my own son when he turns 18.
Thanks!
From Bill Ellis and David Yarborough, February 2011:
We cannot thank Tom ‘Momma Duck’ enough for his caretaking and understanding of the group. The accommodations were fine, the meals appreciated and the experience priceless. Old Faithful Tours provided us with good equipment and the required clothing for which we are extremely grateful. Hopefully one day we will get to visit again!
From Virginia and Larry Tharrington, January 2011:
Just wanted to tell you again what a wonderful time we had. Tony was a great guide and very patient with us beginners. What we saw was even more beautiful than we could imagine. Our hotels were great and our food was marvelous. All 6 in our party had no complaints with any part of our trip. It is a great trip when you can come away with everyone agreeing that it was
even better than we had thought it would be.
Thanks again and keep up the good work!
